Villa Bhanu occupies the headland between Kata and Kata Noi, facing west across the Andaman. At its centre a double-height salon opens onto two infinity pools set one above the other, with Koh Pu on the horizon and the sun landing in the water beyond it. The sea is in view from almost every room.
Eight bedrooms and eleven bathrooms over four floors, 1,200 m² of interior space, within a gated estate of eleven residences.
A cantilevered stair turns through the full height of the house. The main floor holds the salon, a dining table for sixteen, a second dining terrace and a full western kitchen with breakfast counter. A media room and a climate-controlled wine cellar sit below.
Every bedroom is ensuite. Several open directly onto the water. The palette is deliberately quiet: white plaster, stone floors, teak, and the minimum of framing the structure allows.
Two pools, a rooftop terrace, a lawn set above the sea, outdoor showers and a barbecue terrace. The plot faces due west, so the house takes the sunset head-on every month of the year.
Kata Noi Beach lies 600 metres down the hill and Kata Beach one kilometre north. Both are among the calmest swimming bays on the west coast, and Katathani anchors the quieter of the two.
The Kata viewpoint is three kilometres south, Nai Harn four and Promthep Cape six. Patong is twenty minutes north.
A villa manager, full-time housekeeping Monday to Saturday, pool service twice weekly, landscaping, a handyman on call and 24-hour estate security with CCTV. The house is set up to be lived in for part of the year and let for the rest, without the owner managing either.
